Reconhecer a natureza búdica

"Um espelho sem manchas tem o poder ilimitado de refletir, mas este poder está temporariamente imperceptível quando o espelho é colocado numa caixa. Se a espada é removida da sua bainha ou se o espelho é removido da sua caixa, o poder das suas qualidades torna-se evidente. Quando a natureza búdica é reconhecida e utilizada, os seres sencientes tornam-se o mesmo que Buda" (Trecho do livro White Sail, de Dungsey Thinley Norbu Rinpoche, Ed. Shambhala, pág. 122).

"A stainless mirror has the limitless power to reflect, but this power is temporarily inconspicuous when the mirror is placed in a box. If the sword is removed from its sheath or if the mirror is removed from its box, the power of its qualities becomes apparent. When the Buddha nature is recognized and used, sentient beings become the same as Buddha" (in White Sail, Dungsey Thinley Norbu Rinpoche, Ed. Shambhala, page n. 122)
